Our matcha are shade grown for 15 days from the bright and glaring sun before it is harvested during Spring. This is the period where tea plants boost its chlorophyll to the maximum contributing to the L-Theanine production.
FIRST FLUSH HARVESTED
After 15 days shading, farmers started to harvest the youngest tea leaves by handpicking alongside with machine harvesting to ease the harvesting process.
The air dried tea leaves are stone ground into fine and delicate powder. The purpose of stone ground is to grind the tea leaves in consistent temperature to retain the vivid green colour and its quality.

In act of sustainability, we source our matcha from organic verified farm by the Korea Organic Farming and Product Association. As the fertilizers used are natural and organic, our matcha has its distinctive freshness and a slight vegetative note compared to synthetic chemical fertilizers grown matcha.
